Este libro de texto ofrece una introducción esencial a la investigación de encuestas y métodos cuantitativos. Partiendo de la premisa de que los métodos estadísticos deben aprenderse de manera práctica, el libro gua a los estudiantes a través de los diversos pasos del proceso de investigación de la encuesta y ayuda a aplicar esos pasos hacia un ejemplo real. En detalle, el libro de texto presenta a los estudiantes los cuatro pilares de la investigación de encuestas y el análisis cuantitativo: (1) la importancia de la investigación de encuestas, (2) preparar una encuesta, (3) realizar una encuesta y (4) analizar una encuesta. A los estudiantes se les muestra cómo crear su propio cuestionario basado en algunas hipótesis derivadas teóricamente para lograr hallazgos empíricos para un conjunto de datos sólido. Por último, utilizan dichos datos para probar sus hipótesis en un ámbito bivariado y multivariado. El libro explica la teoría, la lógica y los fundamentos matemáticos de estas pruebas. Además, proporciona instrucciones claras sobre cómo realizar las pruebas en SPSS y Stata. |
