Este libro de texto presenta un marco general de optimización de objetivos múltiples para optimizar procesos químicos mediante la implementación de un vínculo entre simuladores de procesos y técnicas metaheurísticas. El enfoque propuesto es general y muestra cómo implementar enlaces entre diferentes simuladores de procesos como Aspen Plus, HYSIS, Super Pro Designer vinculados a una variedad de técnicas metaheurísticas implementadas en Matlab, Excel, C ++ y otras, eliminando el complicaciones numéricas a través del proceso de optimización. Además, el marco propuesto permite el uso de ecuaciones termodinmicas, de diseo y constitutivas implementadas en el simulador de procesos para implementar cualquier proceso.Dirigido a estudiantes de posgrado y pregrado, presenta capítulos introductorios para simuladores de procesos y técnicas de optimización metaheurística y proporciona varios ejercicios trabajados, así como ejercicios propuestos.
