Escritor nacido en Cartagena de Indias, República de de Colombia, el 15 de abril de 1906 en el barrio Getsemaní y fallecido en la misma ciudad de nacimiento el 6 de octubre de 1979. Maestro, rector y fundador del Colegio Instituto Libre (1937), institución educativa que funcionó en su barrio natal donde impartía educación con sus dos hermanas Neyla y Gregorina Gavalo. Columnista de los periódicos locales El Diario de la Costa y El Líder Regional. Como escritor se caracterizó por su pensamiento transdisciplinario, dejando obras inéditas en el campo de la poesía, Filosofía, Política y Biología. En este contexto se publica de manera póstuma se primer libro Notas Pasionarias, como poesía moderna y contemporánea desde 1900 en adelante. |
